Zayan Baig

Global Health '25

Zayan Baig is a junior in Georgetown’s School of Health majoring in Global Health on the pre-med track. He is from Vienna, Virginia. Zayan is most interested in urbanization in developing countries, neglected tropical diseases, and HIV and AIDS. He volunteers with One Tent Health to assist with HIV screening. Outside of Global Health, Zayan is a vice-captain for GU Jawani, serves as a chair for the North American Invitational Model United Nations conference, and tutors math and science.

Iman Ibrahim

Global Health '24

Iman Ibrahim is a senior in the school of Nursing and Health studies studying Global Health and minoring in Arabic and Disability Studies on the Pre-Law track. She is originally from Ethiopia, but currently resides in Davenport, Florida. For the past year, she has been working closely with the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing as an intern focusing primarily on financing philanthropic projects and donor research. In the future, Iman hopes to pursue a career within the realm of global health law and policy reforms with a concentration in disability health equity.

Sarah Pino

Global Health '24 

Sarah Pino is a senior currently studying global health in Georgetown University’s School of Health. Originally from Waterbury, Connecticut, she currently works as an undergraduate teaching assistant in the Department of Global Health and a full-time intern with FHI 360’s Health Systems Strengthening team. Sarah has burgeoning experience in international research and youth diplomacy, and has particular interest in the intersections of human rights, global health diplomacy, and international law. Sarah is pursuing a joint BS/MSc.in Global Health at Georgetown' University, and hopes to pursue a career in health and human rights diplomacy abroad. 

Varat (Max) Ransibrahmanakul

Human Science '24

Max Ransibrahmanakul is a senior in Georgetown’s School of Health majoring in human science on the pre-med track, and minoring in computer science and chemistry. Originating from Montgomery County, Maryland, Max has been engaged in cancer research using zebrafish models at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center for the past year. While still undecided about the specific field of medicine to pursue, Max is hopeful of gaining clarity during medical school. Coming from a STEM-oriented background, diving into the policy aspect of health marks a new phase in Max's exploration of medicine.

Nicole Vernot-Jonas

Global Health '24

Nicole Vernot-Jonas is currently pursuing a joint B.S./MSc in Global Health at Georgetown University and a certificate in Refugees, Migration, and Humanitarian Emergencies. She is passionate about promoting health as a fundamental human right, advocating for gender equity, and addressing the complex challenges faced by refugees and migrants. Nicole currently serves on the board of Georgetown Project RISHI, a student-led team that researches and implements sustainable solutions to improve the health of women in rural Rajasthan, India. She also volunteers at Community HealthEd, a nonprofit organization that aims to dismantle barriers to health by expanding access to reliable medical information.
